The calls of entrepreneurship shouted at a distance before I finally took an interest in it.

I’d been in the corporate world for nearly a decade until I started contracting through the freelance website, Flocksy. Though I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in English, a focus on technical writing, life started “life-ing” and I was pulled away from my deepest passion.

When I started doing freelancing as a side hustle back in 2021, I’d unlocked the desire to write content again. Through writing blogs, web copies, taglines, and things of the like, I started to think I could do this full time.

“Oh, but what about your job?”

What if it doesn’t work out like you think it will? I mean, you got bills to pay”

“What if you can’t bring in enough business to sustain yourself?”

These are just some of the insecurities that plagued my mind day in and day out. Then, those thoughts turned into months. Those months turned into a year. I still freelanced, but only enough to satisfy the craving of creation.

But, that’s all changed now.

Late 2022, I decided to not let my doubts win. My passions for writing wanted to make itself loud and clear, as well as my passion for helping other creatives.
